"Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. By faith..."
This chapter is filled with a lot of of the people who have gone before us and have done great things through their faith in God.
Another verse that stood out to me was verse 6.
"And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him."
It goes without saying that you must believe, but also act upon it to receive the reward. Its the whole, "faith without works is dead." If you don't have actions to back up what you believe, do you really believe it?
Am I acting out my faith in a manner that is commendable and pleasing to God?
